Current World Topics
Current World Topics is a winter short course of the Ferris University Open College at Ferris University in Yokohama, Japan. The students of this six-week course are highly communicative English speakers, some of whom have lived abroad, who wish to maintain and improve their group discussion skills. Many find that in examining international issues and personalities, insights into Japan and Japanese culture may be uncovered as well. The discussion facilitator, Dr. Hamilton Armstrong, welcomes all student-initiated inquiry and projects. For students visiting this site, please feel free to make comments, ask questions on weekly discussion topics, or to add to our information with new ideas/discoveries by submitting your comments in the field box found at the bottom of the page.
The music acompanying this page is called "Inspiration" a MIDI composition by Roger Needham (http://www.rog1945.v-2-1.net/roger.htm ).
